MY AMSTERDAM EXPERIENCE Megabus.com had to book 40 days ahead to get the cheapest. £10 each way that’s a bargain. I can’t believe this Thursday night bus full of 20ish people. They do give out smell at night. Euroline wasn’t like that. Anyway the person I sat next to was the oldest, at the bus, I felt at ease. I think he was a teacher keep taking notes during journey. If I could sleep couple of hours that’s be ok. 8 hours of non-break up sleep not possible as around 3 am we had to get out of our bus for our passports to be checked at Dover. Finally I could just lay down and sleep on this somehow two seated chair even though extremely loudly ferry. I had to put on my earphone loudly listening to classical music. Amsterdam wouldn’t be Amsterdam for me If I couldn’t get even just couple of hours sleep. Bus was late for 1.5 hours. I’m going to be in this city for 2 days. There is an enemy when you’re climbing mountains. The enemy is the cold. Cold is the biggest enemy and maybe the only enemy in the Everest. The enemy is not the strong wind, thin air or avalanches because they could be predicted or avoided. But the cold, people do not even recognise as one. Cold is constant, cold is everywhere you cannot avoid or run away from it. To fight this enemy we need to understand the enemy. We have the third law of thermodynamics which says the heat in a system will run out if not replaced. This is called entropy. Cold takes over when heat is not there. Cold wins over heat. Heat is expensive, it needs work. Cold is free it does not need to do anything. Earth is a system, Human being is a system, the universe is a system. You can have system in a system. Earth being inside the system of the Universe or human being inside the system of Earth. The heat in a system will eventually run out and replaced by cold. The Question is naïve and too wrong also too simple. When I was child I did ask that question to myself too but I was naïve back then. The Question hides an assumption that once we get rid of religion economic troubles would be over. I explain how wrong that would be never mind Stalin’s historical lessons of it. They are powers in every Country. We need to be careful not to concentrate all the powers in one area. Some countries Religion has all the power, some military has it all. I’m not saying religion or military should not have any powers but I’m saying they shouldn’t have all of the powers. Even democratic government should not have all of the powers. Yes, Country can be economically healthy and religious as long as power distribution structures are in place. Government becomes a collaborator of powers.
