STREET MARKETS vs SUPERMARKETS

STREET MARKETS vs SUPERMARKETS

& An Idea to improve the Street Markets

I was on a Ridley Road Market today, you know you have this Kingsland shopping Centre as soon as you exit the Shopping Centre you get the Ridley Road Market stalls, you begin hearing the hussle and bussle of that market as soon as you exit the Shopping Centre . You know £1 a bowl, £1 that. It’s like Old and new side by side.

It’s been some time since I was on that Market, I had been shopping by home groceries, but it got me thinking on this idea.

I thought first i do some comparisons..

-        8 big oranges was £1.50 on the market, and they were On Sainsbury’s 4 big oranges are £2.00.

-        2 mangos were £1 where Sainsburys £1 a mango.

-        10 limes £1 where  on Sainsburys £0.33 each. So it would cost me £3.33 for 10 limes

AN IDEA

Why the Supermarkets can get away selling fruit & veg at this high price?

Because the Supermarkets have higher standards then Markets. Supermarkets make the most money on their Fruit & Veg section and it’s always first thing you see when you enter a Supermarkets.

What if street Markets has the same standard as Supermarkets? Why not increase the Standards of the street Markets?

If Supermarkets can make more money, more sell, more customers from same Fruits & Veg can we also put Street Market stalls in line to that?

IMPLEMENTING THE IDEA

So we need two stalls agreed on each other to try this out.

First Stall: It’s called ONLY THE BEST Sells only the best of it’s fruits, the first stall has a higher standards hence reflect on it’s prices. It has higher prices, people come in there for the standards not for the price. Any fruits that does not meet his standards he gives those fruit & veg to the second stall. He actually pick and chooses his fruits, extra manual job  I’m sure he’ll be rewarded for it.

So what’s the standards he go for?  He could go same standards as the supermarkets or he could go for any standards he desires or different standards for different fruits. Like small potatoes he discards it, less orangey oranges, bananas rotten needs to go.

Second Stall: the second Stall shouldn’t look as it has a relationship with the first stall, It may be situated opposite to it or at the other end of the street. The Second Stall has no big noticeable board but it has a small board says ‘Cheap Fruits To Go’ noticeable enough, Second stall gives his higher standards fruits & veg to the first stall, so first and second stall exchange fruits & veg each other to reflect their standards.

Main purpose of the second stall is to sell fruits cheaply, it has lower standards hence lower prices, so people will come down there knowing that fruits are much cheaper but they have may not fully happy what’s in their bag, but they may be fully happy for what they paid for it.. The second stall has a different customer base, it serves to different customers.
By having tow stalls selling the same Fruits & Veg but in a different way, we are capturing all the need of the customers that usually would walked by, because nothing reflected their needs.

We should not think no one comes to the Stalls only to buy fruit & veg they come because of the experience, supermarkets has that they have offers all the time, they do small changes all the time, let’s bring that to the Street Markets. Two stalls being different to each other, it gives Street Market a buzz, reflects on the Sellers, Customers, and on the walkers by. The science of shopping already inside the Supermarkets let’s bring some of that to the Street Markets as well.
OUTCOME

So what we are doing here is instead of one fruit stall to the next having the same fruits & veg with all the same standards.

We are creating competition. We are creating a change. We are rejuvenating the Market. Thousands of years still the same form of selling, now we can move up a little bit.

Two Market stalls agreed to each other, if they sell more then they used to, than we have increased the Wealth for both stalls which is the most important thing here.

If supermarkets can receive more customers than Street Markets by selling the Same Fruit & Veg, If supermarkets can make more money than the Stall Owners for selling the same fruit & Veg, we bound to increase the customers coming in.
This is implementing the Supermarket ideology on the Street Markets, this is the Past learning from the Future.  This is evolving the Street Markets.

  Only The Best Stall
Fruits 2 Go Stall

We also do what Supermarkets do

Package it in Cling film, we could actually be stealing some of Supermarket customers for us but i don't think they'll mind.

In Side Respect we will be competing with the Supermarkets! We don't want to but i think Supermarkets is gonna be our competitor in secret!

It’s called ‘Street Market Supermarket’

Street Market of the Future could be called Street Markets Supermarkets! On Some Street Markets that is open  6 days a week like Ridley Road Market in Dalston/London, We could have light enclosure on the whole of the street to give a feel to customers that they are in enclosed building that’s all, it shouldn’t cost too much not as much as the Kingsland Shopping Centre next to it can be called a building. The Street Market Supermarket has door also might be kept open or closed after 12am. In front of the door it says ‘Ridley Road Market’, just as Kingsland Shopping Centre says Welcome to Kingsland Shopping Centre.

We are only trying we want to see if we can evolve the Street Markets as no much evolved for over 1000 years.

Why there should be a 2nd referendum?

UK REFERENDUM Why there needs to be a 2 nd referendum? 1 st reason Turnover was under 75%. It was 72%. 2 nd reason It was not a clear choice. It was 52% not no argument 80% or 70% or 67.2% that was in 1975, that should represent broad majority of people with a clear choice. 3 rd reason Biased. It did not reflect the population. It did not reflect London, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It reflected only some part of the Country, and some part of the working population. I did not see scores of London reflected in this referendum. London, the beacon, the power house of United Kingdom was not reflected in the Referendum. Purely based on this reason can be enough. Results look as if it biased and if a survey, study or test resulted similar outcome it would be discarded. 4 th reason Naivety. It is not as important as the ones but there was naivety in the public. This public had no experience of a referendum before since 1975, that’s a generation long gap. And ...
NATO Cyber Alliance (NATOC) - A New Threat in our Global World - These days, there are many means to attack a country, whether by militarily, politically, indiscriminately, financially and the new threat on Cyberspace. Any kind of attack on another country should still be considered as an attack and responded in same manner. A country should be able to defend itself in any form of threat. Biggest cyber threat today coming from regimes such as N. Korea and current Russia regime and what country there will be in the future. We had seen them attacking emails, secret conversation, meddling democracy, creating fake accounts, stealing virtual documents. These are all cyber attacks and should be defined as, especially if sponsored by a Government. At the moment the West doesn't have protection to counter-act that. There will be many forms of cyber attack in the future. Most our lives are more and more reliant on cyberspace, whether shopping, banking, diagnosing, secret conversat...
